First things first,this is above all a summer movie.It wouldnt'of worked if it was placed anywhere else in the year.It was 30 degrees outside so most peaple wanna get inside an airconditioned building anyway.This is pure summer movie fare and for that reason i enjoyed it.This movie had a hipper cast than the first two,but a weaker storyline.Holy jeez is the plot ever weak,nothing but a long rescue mission,and probably most people would think twice before going to see it if they heard that first.the beginning was just so typically Hollywood,and basically,it sets up the whole movie for you in a flash,and you immediatelly know what the movies gonna be.The next 10 minutes or so is really quite boring,until the part when the plane is actually fliyng over the island over all the dinos.Although amazing special effects,the dinos dont capture any wonder or magnificance as they did in the first film,perhaps due to the fact that CGI dinos arent as amazing as they were back 10 years ago. But Johnston still could have done better. The Spinosaurus scene where hes taking out the plane in the tree is good, but certainly not as scary as the jeep scene in the original, even though the spino is alot bigger than trex. Nevertheless, Johnstons new creation is still great, and during the movie he imposes somewhat of a threat to our small band of survivors. I also liked the raptors'new look in the film, they look alot more like birds. And basically all the CGI technology today is pushed in the development of these birds, aswell as well as the animatronic technology{congradulations to you Stan Winston}.However during their stay on the island, the plot is not moving,except for a tiny subplot where Billy takes the Raptor eggs from a nest and is the whole reason why the raptors are after them in the first place.And it all soon becomes tedious,and the only reason why the film is kept alive is because of the extroardinary CGI. And even the superb Spinosaurus attack and the quite frankly not terrifying pteradon scene do not go anywhere,and by the time the scenes are over and done with, they are just back on their way towards the shore again. The movie ends abruptly, but only because Johnston could'nt of gone on, and i applaud him for ending it soon instead of dragging it on for another half hour. Although this review sounds really quite negative,it is the pace, the dinos and the glorious CGI and special effects wicth keep this film at a wipcracking,summer-movie-matinee level of cinematic excitement.

The movie was alright, I mean the Raptors were awseome, and even a few evolved some sweet new head gear!! I wish they would have showed those awesome Cory-o saurs in the stampeed, the Spino was allright, Carnotaur?...there are already anuff meat-eaters, jesus, how many more r there???.....well go see it, it is way to short

This movie is awesome!!! Only the Trex should've had a bigger part, but I can live with that :)
And I really luv Billy, he's a great character :)

great mvie, best summer

This movie was an absolute disaster. I LOVE Jurassic Park. I LOVE the Lost World:Jurassic Park. Why? Because they didn't have any stupid lines, such as "Son, remember the last time we went fishing?". The original Jurassic Park had some intelligence; it was more scientific, and expressed thought and originality. I WANT TO SEE A JURASSIC PARK 4, BUT ONLY if it is a prequel to the original film. I've written a prequel to the original film, that is about 100 pages in length. If anyone it interested in reading it, e-mail me and I'll send you an attachment that you can download.

This would have to be one of the funniest of the JP movies. I really enjoied it. The ending was a little odd but thats ok.

all of the monster dinosaurs,like that....what was that, the flying one?
the rex (special appearance though, not exactly the lead villain anymore!!!>the spino,(i hate that dino!) and the raptors(who now have a mind) and some cool chase scence,i so like that underwater scence, you know where the spino came out of the water then sam neil and stuff lock themselves on the cages, i love that scence. the only problem of this film is ,the stupidity,you know, the kirby couple who is just so stupid,butat leasttea shows us she can scream, so,that's excused, and, i how come sam neil be easily blinded by money???? it just dont make sense! at least at the lost world jeff came their to save his girlfriend,but here,how come he just agreed to come when the kis isnt his relatine, or a friend's son or something??and the timing, oh please! it's too short, cant they make it longer????and in this film, they only showed us how scary,terrible animals were the dinosaurs,coz all dinosaurs tried to eat them !!! un like in both previous films there is this, "oh look at that....its sug=ch a miracle scence,
<in jurrasic park,it's on the start,on the lost world, it's where sarah and stuff took pictures on ther animals,) and of course, the ending!!! what kind or an ending is that?!! oh....in jp4, do it more nice, ok???

I thought Jp3 was really cool and full of action.
It's the best film I've seen in ages.
The film was a bit short though.

Wow. I still remember, a long time ago (21/2 years to be exact) As I finished reading the juinor novelization of The Lost World. The very last 2 sentances went like this. "They would never be seen by humans again. Maybe" Maybe, the one word. At that word I instantly knew that there would be another film. I spent the next 2 years waiting, going on the internet, becoming a member of a great site called "Dansjp3page.com" writing stories and, 1 week before it came out, I left for the 2001 Boy scout national jamboree. I somehow managed to convince my scoutmasters to take me and a few others to see it. I eagerly sat down, watched the previews and finially saw it. Did I have fun? Oh you betcha.

Jurrasic Park 3 is a suprisingly good action film. In fact, its the best one to come out in this year of awful sequels and action films. Its better then "Apes" its better then "Fast" and its definiatly better then the awful "Pear Harbor". It delivers fast action, a great story and interesting charachters.

All the action in this film is spectacular, from the plane crash, to the boat attack, every single one is an instant clasic. And even better, they are helped by ILM special effects that should win a academy award. The supporting charachters are interesting, although 70 percent of them are eaten within 30 minutes. The main kid, Eric, is defianatly the best JP kid so far, hes not as anoying as tim and lex and is better then the gymnastic Kelly in the last film. He manages to survive, and even help the adults, all withought getting annoying once, and thats a rare feat.

One of the best features about this entry is the great sense of humor that the film has. Heck, all the jokes are better then all of the jokes in last years comidies combined! Although most of them involve cell phones. They are all very funny. (Especially the raptor in the plane joke)

Granted, this film is not withought its problems, for instance, how can a cell phone, a cell phone mind you, that is made out of plastic, survive in a dinosaurs stomach for 3 days and still work? Also we never learn how Eric managed to survive in the jungle alone for 8 weeks. It would be great if they went into mre detail how he survived. The biggest problem with JP3 however is its length! It runs at a astonishingly short time (1 hour, 32 minutes and 2 seconds to be exact) It goes by in a flash. The battle between the T-rex and spinosaurus is also very short, running a grand total of 1 minute. The ending is also very dissapointing, if you are expecting a climatic final battle this isint the film to see. It also shows that there might be yet another one! Its like the producers are standing in your face, holding a sign that says "Ha Ha, were going to make another one!" But besides all these problems, Jurrasic Park 3 is a great movie. It was worth waiting more and I cant wait to see it a 4th time. If you had any doubts about the series after the last movie, this will put your fears to rest. Dont miss it.

More Of The Carnotaurus would have been better.

However, one slight thing I have to complain about...STUPID SPINO! HAD TO NEAR RUIN THE MOVIE BY KILLIN' OFF THE REX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, It's just, y'know, I'd a liked it better if the Rex won. Great movie otherwise, way better than TLW.

Having seen JP3 today, I think its safe to say it's better than the Lost World, in my humble opinion. The action scenes are great, and the humor running througout the film is great. The only real problem I have is the overly abrupt ending. In the end, very enjoyable, if too short.

The whole movie was awsome except for the ending. I mean she couldnt of got the navy and the marines to come and get them, but I think in JP4 the pterodons will nest in the U.S.
That is my only complaint for the whole movie.The T-REX+Spinosaur battle was the best.graphics were good to.

JP3 is one of the best movies I've ever seen, only a few movies are as good as this one.
I really liked the transition between the kind dino's and the bad ones, so it was very good.
Actors played good.
And I like the transition between the thriller-action parts and the comedy parts.(The scene at the gate with dino)
